Chip,
A 12 year old Labrador, owned by a New Mexico Veterinarian Dr.
Balok, could barely move due to the deterioration of his hips
and elbows. With a great deal of trepidation, the doctor knowing
he had nothing to lose decided to start Chip on Antler Velvet.
"The effects were remarkable" in his words. After a period
of time, Chip moved with much greater ease and was once again
able to negotiate going up and down stairs. Chips appetite which
had diminished, returned. His entire quality of life improved
greatly and there were no adverse side effects from the Antler
Velvet.
Pogo, was a
male miniature dachshund with a variety of problems. He was 13
years old with a chronic arthritic back and elevated kidney and
liver functions. He had been on various medications throughout
his life and had been given the best of care by his owner. In
March of 1998, Pogo's owner came to the hospital on the verge
of tears to discuss putting Pogo to sleep because in her words,
"I can't stand seeing him suffer like this." Dr Balok suggested
they try one last treatment which in the worst case scenario there
would be no response. After stopping all of Pogo's other medications,
Dr. Balok started him on 600 mg of Antler Velvet for 2 weeks.
Eight days later, after hearing a loud commotion in his lobby,
the veterinarian was amazed to see Pogo jumping and barking, a
completely transformed little animal. A week before he had been
at deaths door, now he was acting like a puppy again. His Antler
Velvet dosage was gradually reduced to 300 mg daily and he became
the Pogo of old.
Abigaill, Another
case handled by Dr. Balok involved , a three year old basset hound.
She was brought in by her owner, a student at New Mexico State
University, with an extremely painful left hind leg. When radiographs
were taken, no fractures were noted, however, upon palpation it
was discovered her patella, or kneecap, was dislocated medially
and the anterior cruciate ligament was stretched or torn. Normally
this condition would require surgical intervention, however, since
the owner was not financially able to proceed with this, the option
she chose was to treat Abigaill with manual replacement of the
patella, a pressure wrap and Antler Velvet. The initial dosage
was 900 mg Antler Velvet for 2 weeks, then adjusted down to 600
mg daily. The owner observed noticeable improvement in Abby's
condition within 10 days and within 3 weeks Abby appeared to be
completely pain free. Abby continued to take her Antler Velvet
daily and as with most dogs eats them like treats.
Mac,
an 8 year old slightly overweight Labrador, has been a patient
of Dr Balok's since he was 10 weeks old. Like so many Labs and
other large breeds, Mac suffers from a degenerative condition
of his hips, known as dysplasia. Recent uses of compounds to increase
joint fluids and repair cartilage damage have been found to be
effective in slowing down the progression of this disease. These
compounds, chondroitin sulfate and glucosamine sulfate are found
in Antler Velvet. In Dr. Balok's opinion, these compounds and
other healing factors found in Antler Velvet are much more effective
than any of the compounds by themselves. Mac had been radiographically
diagnosed with grade 11 dysplasia and been on various forms of
treatment for several years. After an explanation of Antler Velvet,
his owner decided to try the product since it did not have the
adverse side effects of so many of the other medications he had
taken. Mac was started on 900 mg of Antler Velvet daily for 2
weeks and then his dosage was lowered to 600 mg daily. There was
not an immediate response, however, gradually the limp disappeared
and he soon became pain free with a very satisfied owner.
I have a 13
year old Shih Tzu that has always had spunk and energy until the
last couple years. He developed cataracts and wanted to do nothing
but sleep. I ran across the articles and felt like it was worth

Moxie
is a 10 year old Bernese Mountain Dog, who is just the sweetest
girl. Despite being in constant pain, she's always got a wagging
tail and just loves everybody. From the time Moxie was a year
old, she's experienced several surgeries, and has had many problems
with her legs and hips, including arthritis and dysplasia. We
started giving her Southern Cross Deer Antler Velvet one day when
she was having extreme problems walking - she could barely stand
without assistance, and refused to go up or down stairs. Our neighborhood
dog walker had suggested trying Southern Cross - she gave it to

Ever since
I heard of Antler Velvet, Ive been wanting to try it... searched

that this stuff is the best thing ever... helps me recover from

My dog who

Our initial introduction to Antler Velvet was through a veterinarian,
who specialized in exotic animals at Texas A&M University.
We have a raccoon, Robbie, who has severe arthritis in his right
knee. Veterinarians had tried numerous medications to relieve
his pain all with life-threatening side effects. He was
even overly sensitive to topical applications made up by their
pharmacists specifically for him and the treatment had to be terminated.
Finally the university veterinarian we were dealing with sent
us a bottle of Pure Antler Velvet capsules. For the first time,
Robbie showed no adverse side-effects and gradually improved.
His panting, a sign of distress with a raccoon, ceased and he
moved with much greater ease. Raccoons have less tolerance for
medications than almost any other exotic animal. This information
was learned after studying raccoons and having them as house pets
for 35 years. Robbie's companion is a Standard Poodle named Trevor.
Radiographs taken in 1997 showed severe hip dysplasia. When his
discomfort became obvious, Trevor was started on Glucosamine Sulfate
and Chondroitin Sulfate. After using these two supplements by
themselves for several months, we saw absolutely no improvement.
In fact, he became less active with decreased mobility. In March
of 1999, we started Trevor on 860 mg of Pure Antler Velvet powder
daily. The improvement in his condition was gradual, but continuous,
and at present he moves with ease and is again able to jump into
his favorite chair. Trevor's groomer who sees him monthly has
commented on each visit about the dramatic improvement she has
